Do. I’ve been thinking about the word do.
Got anything to do?
What do you wanna do?
Well. Honestly I’ve never been any good at knowing what I
want to do. I’ve only been really good
at knowing what I don’t want to do. I’m
trying to change.
So, here is a list of things(in no particular order) I would
like to do. If you asked
.
Make a home-made
pizza. And then eat all of it.
Grab a sweater and
scarf and walk through a sunny, autumn afternoon.
Make a cup a tea, sit
on the front porch and share it with a friend.
Watch “P.S. I Love You”.
Again.
Read “Pride and
Prejudice”. Again. And then watch the movie. Again.
Go to the gym and do a
weight lifting workout.
Find some salted,
roasted almonds and eat them.
Sit down at the
computer and research some new exercises to build strength and increase range
of motion.
Put on my IPod and
dance around the house. In front of the kids while I watch them grimace and
look embarrassed and uncomfortable.
Read a book until I
fall asleep.
Take the kids to get
frozen yogurt. With toppings. Lots of toppings. Crunchy one and berries.
There is laundry. Why always
laundry?
There are two
bathrooms that need cleaned. Why do bathrooms always need cleaned?
Become a fabulous
writer, sit down at my computer, stay up all night and write a story that is
completely life changing. You know, the kind of story that you read over and
over. The kind of story that you cling to, that you hold up to your chest, sigh, and wish
you could ingest.
Bake and eat banana
bread with chocolate chips in it.
That’s all I’ve got right now. I know there’s got to be more
but I’m hungry and can’t think right now.
Let’s call this installment one.
What do you wanna do?
I want to read books you write.
