Remember the chicks and how cute they were a short time ago? Well, ugliness has set in.
They used to look like this:
Now they look like this. They grow up so fast!
Farmer boy was feeling the need to cut more wood, and so he did. I love his fashion sense.
Farmer boy got a fire going for us and we worked on our Christmas cards.
Kelli baked delicious cookies and I baked delicious bread.
The wind started picking up at about 7:00 pm. It was angry and cruel. I snuggled in to Farmer Boy and told him I was scared another tree was going to fall on the house. After our summer of natural disasters I guess I'm more frightened. My sweet husband, held my hand and prayed that we'd make it through the night. After two wake up calls by the carbon monoxide detector, a visit by the fireman to see what was going on, it was time to get on with Sunday. Church had been cancelled because the wind was still whipping and the roads were slippery. Time to go out and survey our world.
More fashion sense! |
The weather is outside is frightful, booger freezing frightful, but the fire is so delightful, and so are the cookies. Hope you all had a good weekend.
Oh YAY YAY YAY! You know how much I've been dying to comment!

"booger freezing frightful"????? That sounds like a farmer-ism to me! :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, nice to bump into you here, Robbie! I'm sure you aren't called that anymore, but that's how I remember you. Lucky you to live out in the Maritimes (and I think you called Vancouver Island home too at one time! Love it there!)

Kris,
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to comment on your blog as well, like the change... you do have a way with words... Mom and Dad are still enjoying our Canadian winter... 2 days longer than they had hoped...roads are unsafe for travel where they are headed... stay warm and dry where you are, enjoy those cookies.
Luv Brenda
My kids got to experience "booger freezing cold" last year when we left IL to come back home. It was -6 at the airport and I told them to take a deep breath through their nose. They freaked out!
