A Prayer for a Monday

The clouds have touched down and are wrapping around us. The trees, carrying their newly burst promise of summer on the tips of their branches, sway in the wind, ready to dance their rain dance. Cars rush by, blasting into Monday. The grass seems bolder, brighter, no longer afraid of winter's icy fingers, as it  bravely hoists it's green shield.

Monday.

Thank you Lord for this cloudy, grey day.

Thank you for buds of leaves on waking trees, for the green of the grass, for the hope of Spring after this long Winter.

Thank you for your faithfulness.

Thank you for Monday and it's duties, it's lists, it's tasks. Another day, new life, new opportunities, new beginnings.

Thank you that your mercies are new every morning.

Thank you for all that will be called today. Establish the work of my hands. May my actions, my words, and my thoughts bring glory to you.

Amen.

Have a great Monday.
